Jake Stentz

ceo & retirement specialist

In his role as the founder of JMS Financial Group, Jake has dedicated over 16 years to supporting clients throughout their retirement journey. His expertise extends across a wide spectrum, encompassing retirement planning, annuities, estate planning, Medicare services, life insurance, and a comprehensive array of financial solutions.

Prior to building his own business, Jake had the privilege of apprenticing in the industry under the guidance of his uncle. It was during this period that he witnessed firsthand the ethical principles and unwavering commitment to aiding others his uncle had which ignited his own fervor. Jake recognized an unmet need in the field, where countless individuals were yearning for genuine care, a compassionate ear to listen to their aspirations and concerns, and a tailored retirement strategy to map out their future. Many of Jake's clients felt like they were just another number prior to meeting with him. They felt like their prior Financial Planner had not provided the comprehensive strategies that Jake offers, nor gave them the opportunity to be heard. Jake, in contrast, approaches every initial encounter as the foundation of a relationship that will endure throughout the entire retirement journey, prioritizing genuine connection and support.

Born in Ketchikan, Alaska, Jake moved to Ohio when he was young, where he wound up laying down roots and starting his own family. Together with his cherished wife, Tanya, Jake is a parent to two lovely daughters. Beyond his dedicated work with clients and family moments, Jake enjoys spending his time hunting, fishing, camping and dedicating his time to volunteer initiatives within his community.
